The leaders of Tablighi Jamaa are always telling their followers - TopicsExpress

The leaders of Tablighi Jamaa are always telling their followers not to discuss anything with anyone if its about their methodology of Dawa, therefore, some of the youth of this group in our community here were asking me to ask the visiting scholars, in Public about the dalil for their methodology within the conference as they themselves are wondering why dont they explain. However, it would have been not appropriate to do so, and that was the main reason for me to go in private and ask them about it. There were two scholars related to this group, one of which was visiting from Vancouver, that I totally avoided to talk to, due to his attitude problem may Allah swt guide him us all to the right path. However, the other scholar from Toronto, may Allah swt reward him with Jannah al Ferdaws, a mild and humble brother, who was so more knowledgeable but due to his humility, he was not even trying to speak so openly and was allowing others in the private gathering to speak. I was speaking to brother Mutasem our religious chair at the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan - Saskatoon about how everyone is demanding me to ask this publicly and why I did not. This Shaikh was sitting right beside me and explained, why he is part of Jamaa at Tabligh; 1. Because theres no definite methodology in Islam for how to carry on the Dawa, so therefore, we follow this methodology, 2. Look at the benefit we get out of this methodology and how useful it is to carry the dawa this way, I said in my opinion the second point you made is a Capitalistic way of thinking in which it says, The end justifies the means, so therefore, no matter how useful or beneficial something is, if it is not in accordance to our reference points (Quran and Hadeeth) is not accepted. In the first point you made, there is a clear and fixed methodology set by Islam, in which Rasoolullah sas has gone through three phases of Culturing (تثقیف), Political struggle or public engagement (تفاعل) and Seeking support (طلب النصرة) to establish an Islamic state, system, Dar ul Islam. Therefore, how can we say that theres no fixed methodology in Islam, while it is there exactly as we have a fix methodology for Salah, we do have it for dawa too. The Shaikh, sat quite after I explained this. My experience speaks otherwise, but because I have to have a good assumption of my Muslim brother, therefore, I assume that it was out of humility and in sha Allah he will think over it.
