The librarian at New Toronto Library also showed me a pic of a carved table which was stored in this library, but is now located at the Mimico Library. On my way home, I dropped in the Mimico Library so that I could take some pics of this table; and here they are. The carved table info: The carved table was made by Frederick Kempf for the official reception foyer of the New Toronto Town Hall; and later found a home in the old New Toronto Library. The table top is 7 inches thick, and was cut from a 7.5 foot Douglas Fir tree. The legs are from Maple trees which grew in 5th St. Mr. Kempf did all the carving, and during the New Toronto Library renovation, it was stored in the Mimico Library, where still resides.
