The log line for a film is like the TV Guide blurb that you see in the scheduling list. Black and Blues: A white, middle aged, "has been" rock star is battling the consequences of addiction and bad behavior as he suffers paralyzing guilt going home to bury his best friend. He is overwhelmed at the prospect of having to face the black family that raised him all those years ago in a blues bar in Memphis. Southern Rock, Memphis blues, cool jazz, and raucous gospel fuel the emotions during this roller coaster ride of a nervous breakdown. During the journey he uncovers the secret that set him on this road of great success and self destructive behavior. For the first time in his life he realizes a chance to finally be at peace with himself, but only if he can set aside his guilt and accept the love of this family.
