The lovely ladies of Shepherd Hill Illusion have nominated me to take part in the #ALSicebucketchallenge. ALS, or Lou Gherigs disease, is a devastating progressive neurodegenerative disease that results in death for 80% of patients within five years of diagnosis. More than 56-hundred new cases are diagnosed each year, and ALS can strike anyone. In addition to passing this challenge onto Kristin Kristin Fiske Marengo, Connie Galli, and Vicki Niro, who have 24 hours to take the challenge or donate to an ALS charity of their choice, Im donating $100 to the ALS Association. While you dont need to douse yourself with water to donate to charity, the ALSA has seen donations go up 1200% (yes, twelve-hundred percent) since the #ALSicebucketchallenge went viral.
