The lower Deschutes fished pretty well today. Spent most the day using a stonefly nymph with good success and also caught a few fish on the coveted chubby chernobyls. Lots of fish starting to move around and the redsides were nice and fat. No trip to mecca is complete without encountering several rattlesnakes and killing some (two to be exact). I saw way more snakes than I could kill. Please use wisdom, if you carry a pistol get some snakeshot and an anti venom kit might be in order. Anyways, the fishing didnt disappoint :) cant wait for the big bugs. .
