The masters were telling us that we should seek the Kingdom of Heaven, whether by Chariots of Fire or Burning Bushes, the goal in life is to be in the midst of fire. The fire is the inspiration which comes with an enthusiastic heart that prepares a place for the woman who was cast into the wilderness. She is just the spirit of disenchantment which comes along the celestial road carrying the disappointments and the pains in a life striving for perfection. Fearfulness empowers compassionate love and is quenched as it sinks in the Lake of Fire with Orion. There it is restrained by the bondage of Andromeda to material existence, and regenerates the consumptive gnosis of Sagittarius striving for total cosmic awareness. These disenchanting forces are no match for the fire of truth which is freely given to all who will enthusiastically seek to LOVE and to THINK, as one guiding light. For it is not the pursuit of dreams that disenchants, it is the failure to THINK while in the pursuit, and the failure to transcend gnosis through reincarnation of the Cosmic Spirit. The cosmic purpose is to love, and the journey toward that purpose rises from a lake of fire, on a chariot, in the sack cloth of Perseus, on the branches of a tree, or wrapped in the swaddling cloths of a new born king. When Hagar first fled into the wilderness, the Cosmic Voice was still heard in the midst of the fire within the mountain of Allah. Through Ishmael, Mother Nature spoke the truth through the mountain of flames wherein are the Fables of the Ancients. And the angel of the LORD said unto her, behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. Then after Isaac was born to Sarah and Abraham, Hagar again was sent into the wilderness. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt. It is in this manner that two sons of Abraham became fathers to the land below, and the land above. Hagar, as Andromeda, restored the material cosmos through Ishmael in the land below. Sarah, as Virgo, restored the spiritual cosmos through Isaac in the land above. These sacred lands were the same regions of the circuit of the heavens which all cultures have known as the Land Flowing with Milk and Honey, and the Land of Fire. As it is above, so it is below. The land in between is that cosmic circuit we see as the Milky Way, and those with loving thoughts know to be heaven.
