The media is dedicated to making Chicago the poster child of violence and murder in America but do you realize that we dont even crack the top 10 list of cities with highest murder rates? And according to CPD, the 1st 6 months of 2013 had 274 fewer shootings and 76 fewer murders than the same time period in 2012. And we have like half as many murders as we did in the 1990s. Chicago has a violence problem (not debating that) but we also have a PR problem that has folks thinking were the murder capital when were so far from it. Also, please dont call my city Chiraq.
