The meeting minutes are up, and are pretty short and sweet this - TopicsExpress

The meeting minutes are up, and are pretty short and sweet this week. No one really showed up, unfortunately. Moving on and mostly unrelated from that, I have to be that guy today. Ya know. The administrative THAT GUY. Currently, we are more or less at a standstill. We have the community built, but its built to be larger than our current membership. Im working towards fixing that, by posting on the various game forums, but I need help. If youre playing a game, please, tell people about the community. Do we have a guild? Yes, yes we do, but thats not our focus. Our focus is the community. Establishing ties with other guilds, other clans, other communities, and making new friends and allies. RGA is about gaming, and its about never running alone. However, in the past few weeks, people have been doing just that, because everyone plays different games, and often at different times. This is fine, RGA isnt about playing just one or two games, but playing whatever you want and having fun. But that leads back to the Never Run Alone bit, and also not having the members to be able to do that. So, please, help me out. Help the admins out. Tell your gaming friends about us, show them the site, have them hop on Raidcall and come talk to me if they want more info or have questions or whatever. Secondly (this is more for the mods and admins), if you have an assigned forum, you need to be covering it. Thats what you agreed to do when you took the position. Admittedly, yes, there arent any members asking questions, or posting a whole lot on the forums, etc. But you can still get into the groove by posting game updates (which you need to be doing anyways), posting general information about the game, and basically building your own little section on the site. This needs to start happening, or Im going to have to start replacing people as newer, more proactive people come in. I love you all, youre all awesome, but thats just what Ill have to do. Lastly, in terms of gaming, I know were all doing a lot of running alone right now. And I know that I, myself, have been playing a lot of Smite, and Ive been wanting to get better at it and go pro as the phrase goes. That doesnt mean you HAVE to play it, or that you HAVE to join the team. Just because I play it, doesnt mean you have to. Thats the entire point of having some 20 games or however many on the roster. If you play it, we support it. We find people for you to play with. We come try it out with you. But a lot of our core members game jump. A few of us only stick to certain ones, but most of us jump from game to game to game, depending on our mood that day, or even that week, or sometimes even that month. Game jumping isnt so bad, really, but it can be frustrating, because a lot of games are meant to be played with more than just a couple people. End content, Im looking at you, you elusive bugger. I should be able to solo the Desert Dragon with no armor on! Why you do dis! *ahem* Where was I? Oh, right. Admin time. So, to sum it up: Help me recruit for the community. If youre a mod/admin, cover your forum. And finally, I am not the community. WE are the community. And WE need to work on it and build it up TOGETHER. ~ Aodhfin
