The members, volunteers and staff of Greenlight Gateway are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of young Conor McIlroy. As a mark of respect and solidarity our Garden Centre, Coffee Shop and Charity will be closed on Friday 4th October. Conor and his family have been at the heart of Greenlight for these past years and while not all of us here share his DNA, we find his fingerprints, footprints and memories of him around us constantly. We have been blessed to share special moments, meals, a confirmation dinner and countless Ulster Frys (and his beloved pancakes), the last just two Saturdays ago. We have seen him painted as Spiderman and scream with laughter as he whizzed around the place on go-karts, scooters and even his wheelchair in these last months. Conor and all his family, and his grandparents, many uncles, aunties and cousins are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We can only share a little of their heartache, and want you to know how much Conor and his family and friends mean to us all here. His memory will always be alive in Greenlight Gateway.
