The merchant called the police because the individual did not want to show his reciept, upon the officers request the individual started to make a scene and refused to show the reciept , the officer showed restraint and calm thru out the entire ordeal, even after being threatened with bodily harm. My opinion is he should of been arrested for failure to comply and disorderly conduct. All he had to do is show his reciept to the merchant employee in the first place. This is a sad reality that officers will have to deal with from now on. Terrible!!! I am so glad Im retired because the job is hard enough without having to deal with this kind of foolishness. The streets of America are never gonna be safe ever again if cops are afraid to affect a lawful arrest. To all you good cops out there stay vigilant and dont overthink a situation like this you have your training and if you are doing as you are told and following your protocol you will be fine. Do the job right and get home to your family. Be safe.
