The moment I adopt the attitude that I am more open minded than someone else, and more receptive of the truth--in that moment I have closed my mind and I am not receptive of the truth. Anytime I am thinking about what is true, I am most certainly corrupting the truth. The truth is not something to be digested from a meal of experience, then reconstituted as an intellectual concept, or even as wisdom. The highest wisdom of the wisest person who ever lived is just a small glimpse of a small part of the truth. The truth is already complete within each and all of us. It IS us, and it is every manifestation of both the created and the creator. It is not to be discovered without, it is to be uncovered within--beneath the illusions we hold to be true. In the stillness of the unthinking consciousness, the truth begins to bubble up through us into this world like water from a spring when the heavy stone of thinking is removed.
