The moment I peed on that stick… I hurried and flushed it in shock. However, Paul bought a double pack!!! I was pregnant, 19, not a great childhood to give this little life a chance. I was becoming a statistic, but I had goals, dreams, aspirations… Im 19 and scared but I had Paul and we had each other. Both inexperienced and scared. I had a baby boy. I named him Cameron after Kirk Cameron lol You raise your child with the greatest intentions, to not have them relive your childhood. You give them everything you got so they make it in this crazy world. Today I cried, as I stood looking up at my first born and remembering how scared I was to be a mother at a young age. How were we going to raise him. Today I cried with tears of joy after we spent this evening at my sons high school for conferences. Each teacher we spoke with had such wonderful things to say about our baby. Each one of his teachers telling Paul and I what a great human being he is. Each one saying you raised him right. I wish we had more parents like you. Our hearts were so full of joy, we know what a great kid we have, but when another person tells you that you did something right, you listen. I held back my tears in his school, but my heart was crying inside, because I was 19, pregnant, unwed, and no where to call home.
