The more I mature, the more I understand that, revenge rarely solves anything. It usually makes matters worse. Some things are better left at the conviction of the offender. Then there are those things that require swift justice, in order to prevent further offenses by the offender, like, murder or something like that. Theres a difference between justice and revenge. Justice is done orderly and in compliance with the laws of the land, proper code of ethics, or regulatory policies of an establishment. On the contrary, revenge is carried out in a malicious manner, with intent to bring harm to the offender. Either way, we all will be held accountable for our actions, whether it be through: self-conviction, Gods justice (karma), the justice system, or the victim. Accountability is just simplification of the concept showing one the errors of their ways. The point Im making is, dont be so quick to seek revenge, because you will only add fuel to the fire. Justice will always be served.
