The more darkness there is in the world, the greater our opportunity to shine as lights in the midst of a perverse generation (Philippians 2:15). Now more than ever, we must realize our position as the light of the world, and take the light of the Gospel to men and women around the world. It’s said that over eighty percent of all of Asia are yet to hear about Jesus Christ. In Malaysia, only eight percent are said to be Christians. Think about the growing level of heathenism in today’s Europe. Whilst these statistics may portray a gloomy picture, it also lets us know how much more impact we need to make with the Gospel. We can’t afford to be weak, lukewarm, or quiet. We must keep preaching the Gospel with greater fervency and passion, as the urgency of the moment demands. We’re the custodians of this Gospel; it’s our responsibility to preach it with the knowledge and power of the Spirit—as witnesses to all nations (Matthew 24:14).
