The most selfless prayer. I had the amazing opportunity to spend some time with a new friend, Debbie. You could tell just by being around her that she was filled with the joy of the Lord. I asked her, have you always been walking with the Lord. This is what she said. Her Great Grandfather, and his young wife and 6 small children lived on a farm. The barn was infested with rats and was ruining the grain. He crawled underneath the grain and started putting out rat poison. The rat poison seeped into his body. Knowing that we was dying, he called his wife and children in and began to pray. He did not pray for himself, but he prayed that the Lord would bring a Godly man to marry his wife and that he would love his children. He then began praying with each child, speaking Blessings and the love and protection of Christ over them. She shared with me that each child and their children and now his great great great grandchildren have all been blessed by the love of the Lord. Truly the most selfless prayer ever. She cried telling me, I cry telling you. I may have gotten some of it wrong, but the point of the story, is to speak Life and the Love of Jesus over our children.
