The move by the Presbyterian Church to divest from companies that supply products and technology to Israel is truly an unfortunate one, based on a terrible lack of knowledge and understanding of the true realities of the situation in Israel and the Middle East. Any objective observer can see that Israel is the one true democracy in the Middle East, and this move does more to promote the enemies of democracy more than it helps the Palestinians. Israel is the only country in the Middle East where Christians are safe, honored, and free to practice their religion. The conflict between Israel and the Palestinians will be solved only through direct negotiations and not by pressure from third parties.
