The mystery of an altered photo of a Canadarm was just an Oops, - TopicsExpress

The mystery of an altered photo of a Canadarm was just an Oops, says the Canadian Space Agency: a birthday decoration that wasn’t meant to reach the Internet. The photo on several government websites shows an astronaut standing on the end of the Canadarm2 aboard the International Space Station. It is modified to show the Canadian government logo prominently, on a section of the arm where no logo actually exists. “That photo was originally developed, or modified, for an internal poster for employees for the fifth birthday of Canadarm, in 2006,” a CSA spokesperson says. “We don’t know how it got to the public, but that’s clearly a mistake.” ottawacitizen/news/national/altered-canadarm-photo-wasnt-meant-for-public-space-agency
