The netizens are very intelligent. One of them has drawn a virtual realm to guide people imagining how the former Rumsey Street empty platform could accommodate the access of MTR trains between Chai Wan and Kennedy Town. The Rumsey Street empty platform was regarded as a tricky area that attracted the brewing of ghosts. During the British colonial era, the Governor and the MTR Corporation were aspired to extend the East Kowloon Line from Kai Tak Airport to Rumsey Street. But, due to the frequent injuries and accidents suffered by the construction workers while encountering with the nuisances of ghosts, both authorities decided to cancel this rail-link project and remained the Rumsey Street empty platform as an intermediate point for passengers to reach the platform of Sheung Wan Station. But, as the West Island Line project was successfully re-started, the HKSAR Government and the MTR Corporation decided to block the empty trail with wall barriers. Lots of frequent MTR commuters take this opportunity to reminisce the good old days of using the Rumsey Street empty platform while taking MTR trains to Sheung Wan. https://youtube/watch?v=RNH_3WzljTo
