With death and decay in his wake, the newly proclaimed Dark Lord began expanding his territory, so to speak. Striding now across the plains further in the direction of a distant expansive forest. On the horizon behind him was left only the smoldering remains of a village unfortunate enough to be located near his castle grounds. Everything was left to be consumed by the ghastly, violet and ebony flames.. more than a telltale sign that this was not the workings of a natural fire, nor any accident. He continued to indiscriminately spread the unholy flame and corruption to the surrounding plains, turning everything in his wake into a wasteland. Seeming to wipe the slate of the land clean. "Soon.. ... now to finish up with this outlying forest..." Muttered the devilish man to himself, stepping beyond the rim of the forest, into its boundaries, every tree he touched was consumed with the same pitch of darkness that spread like a flame seeking more food to fuel its spread. Rather than burning, it seemed to outright sap the very life-force from anything it spread to.. leaving nothing but a twisted and horrid version of what the forest once stood proudly. Robbing it of its former radiance and beauty. And continuing to venture deeper into the forest as his corruption spread out like ripples in a body of water, that in this case was the surrounding wood... And although such a vile act, he seemed to take little to no pleasure in it, a very melancholic villain to say the very least, seeming to give off little to no outward emotions all while carrying out such a dastardly agenda, the fauna as well as the flora beginning to all suffer the same gruesome fate.. as the vile flames were entirely indiscriminate to say the least. Like a disease, it cared little for what it consumed, it simply consumed. Perhaps soon the wildlife would even change altogether, and become twisted, corrupt versions of what it once was... that had remained to be seen..
