The neurosurgeon came by earlier and said that he really didnt see any changes in Kellys CT scans. He did say that he could tell that there was a lot of head movement and shaking involved during the accident. He said she has evidence of some shearing and that sometimes the small blood vessels in the brain can get damaged and that sometimes the nerves can go into shock so to speak. He said only time will tell as far as which nerves decide to wake up and which ones dont. They did try to let Kelly try and do some breathing without the vent, but she was unable to tolerate that at this time. We will try again on that later. Overall, the dr said that Kelly was slowly moving in the right direction. I know that all good things come with time, and that everything is on His time. We are so anxious to have our Kelly back, but I know we must be patient and it needs to happen on His time. Thank you all for your continued support.
