The newly launched iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will go on sale in New Zealand on September 26, one week after the first ones go on sale overseas. On that date, the phones will be available for order through Apples website. It is not yet clear when they will be delivered, or when New Zealand mobile providers will have stock in-store. Apple says the 16GB iPhone 6 will retail from NZ$999 and the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus from $1149. Vodafone, Spark and 2degrees are yet to release details of their on-account handset pricing. In the United States iPhone 6 will retail for US$199 (NZ$242) on a two-year contract. The new Apple Watch is expected to hit NZ shelves in early 2015 but no exact date has been set. Apple Watch and iPhone 6 were launched earlier today by Apple CEO Tim Cook at an event in Cupertino, California. The new iPhones have bigger screens and Apple is promising sharper display resolution, improved battery life and faster processors. They will also have the ability to make credit card payments through a system called Apple Pay. Visa has today announced it will support the service in New Zealand.
