The next round of elections will be an important one. I know, I know... we conservatives say that about every election these days, but this one finds our republic teetering on the precipice of statist oblivion. We have already lost our Constitutional form of government - although we have held to the fiction that it still endures, a reckoning of the behavior of government at all levels will quickly disabuse you of that notion. Government does what it will, and as we have seen so clearly in the last five years, no longer cares what we think about it. While I see a great opportunity in the ideas put forward by Mark Levin in his new book "The Liberty Amendments," his plan requires uncorrupted state legislatures to succeed. This is why this round of elections is pivotal. We will replace a Senator. We will replace a Governor. We will determine the trajectory of our "non-partisan" legislature. We cannot be fooled again by pseudo-conservative candidates who trade principle for power. To that end, I will be seeking interviews with each of the candidates for these offices in order to compile a sort of "Conservative Voter Guide." What I would ask of you, my facebook friends, would be to let me know the issues and positions most important to you in each of these races. What would you have me ask of the would-be Governors? The Senators? The legislators? Let me know.
