Candy has been found!! Apparently a neighbor one street over found her laying under his bush. (The doggy valium for thunderstorms had started working.) He proceeded to beat her repeatedly in the head with a shovel. A little boy witnessed this and dialed 911. Animal Control came, gave the man tickets and a summons for court. Animal Control officers then rushed Candy to a vet for care. (I am so thankful to these officers!) Dr. Hodges has been caring for her. Her temperature was too high for surgery until this morning. This man that beat her with the shovel BROKE her skull...not a fracture!!! I will get to see my girl Candy tomorrow morning. She is not out of the woods yet. Please pray for a speedy recovery for her and that justice will prevail!! Thank yous to Animal Control Officers (never thought Id say that!) They moved quickly writing tickets to hold this man accountable and to get urgent medical care for Candy. Thank you also to Dr. Hodges and staff at Critter Fixers for helping my baby. I am so sad and heartbroken...but today I just want to be grateful for those that helped Candy!!
