The next time someone tells you `I like meat` or `meat tastes good` ask them if they would eat humans or dogs or cats, and if not, why not? They might say that some animals are somehow different than others ... but on what basis? They will be hard-pressed to find reasons that would really entitle us to take the lives of others when we don`t need to. They sometimes respond that other animals eat animals in nature, but that is hardly applicable to humans, who are not carnivores and thus have a choice. Or they will say we need to eat animals to be healthy, which is also not true. So it really comes down to a taste preference, which is based on power, not justice or fairness or decency. A`s unnecessary taste is given precedence over B`s entire life.
