The night before the election Labor have broken their promise to support Sunbury out of Hume’. Their plan to rip up the contracts for the East-West Link, costing Victoria $1.1 billion in compensation payments, proves they won’t think twice about ripping up the Gazzette for Sunbury out of Hume to please their union mates. Only the Liberals have a clear and consistent commitment to Sunbury out of Hume’ and the only way to guarantee the creation of the new Sunbury council is to vote Liberal. “The Labor Government, if elected this weekend, would have a second plebiscite. It is anticipated that this vote would be compulsory on all rate payers in the current Hume electorate, and that this vote would be binding.
