The nominations were announced earlier today and Queen Bey was recognized in the Best R&B/Pop Female Artist, Best Collaboration, and Video of the Year. Her nods in the Best Collaboration and Video of the Year categories comes courtesy of her inescapable hit “Drunk In Love.” Beyonce received a second nomination in the Video of the Year race for the steamy visuals for “Partition.” Most of Jay Z’s nominations are tied to his wife’s due to his work on “Drunk In Love,” however, Jay got a solo nomination for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and in Best Collaboration for “Holy Grail” which features Justin Timberlake. Drake will battle it out with Mr. Carter for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist as well as Best Collaboration for his song “Hold On, We’re Going Home” featuring Majid Jordan. Drake was also nominated in the Best Group slot with his Young Money brethren.
