The numbers are in! In 2014, the hard working men and women of the LVMPD Communications Bureau answered just over 1.1 million 9-1-1 calls. Approximately 876,000 of those came from a wireless number. 93 percent of those 9-1-1 calls were answered in 10 seconds or less. Along with 9-1-1, we also answered non-emergency calls and other phone lines which brings our total number of phone calls processed through our center to approximately 3.2 MILLION! These numbers are impressive. Good work and hats off to our staff!
