The one constant barrier that limits too many professional fitness - TopicsExpress

The one constant barrier that limits too many professional fitness careers is arrogance. This type of trainer is far more interested in showing the client everything he thinks he knows rather than trying to find a way to get it done for the client. The hard lesson is there is no single right way to get someone in better shape, but there are a lot more wrong ways that can discourage, alienate and even hurt a client. The only cure for this is experience. If you have survived for over 10 years in this business you have probably had most of the, My way or no way attitude knocked out of you by now. The longer you train, the wiser you become and the more you learn to adapt what you know to the client, rather than forcing the client to adapt to your single minded, one size fits all training methodology. There is no one more dangerous to a client than a newly minted trainer with 3 months of experience who just finished his first weekend training cult certification experience and who is now going to show the world that he, and he alone, knows the path to true fitness. The word master in master trainer really just states you are grown up enough you let your own ego go and make your day all about the clients you serve.
