The only humane action is to resolve the immigration status for these families. When they do they will identify criminals that should be deported and good people that can stay and pay taxes . Etc. people forget we were All immigrants I. This country at some time. Whether voluntary or involuntary as in the case of African slaves. The Indians ,Mexicans , Spanish and english owned the lands which thereafter their purchase and civil war became The United States of America. Despite the President statement to appease immigration reform supporters nothing will be done. He has no power or true will to do anything. Like many immigrants families would say : immigrants are criminals just for being here illegally. They broken laws. But the sad reality is that most people illegally here came to the USA to work whatever tasks no matter how hard to feed their families. Because they were starving or suffering persecution in their home lands. They didnt want to leave! They had no choice. Who of you readers would want to leave everything you know , entire family behind , not be able to see them for years sometimes the time to reunite NEVER COMES. Raise your hand who would volunteer!! Not me!! Although even I had to go through those hardships. My father was assassinated in my country. We fled to save our lives. I am now a citizen. I can tell you it hasnt been easy. No sir. Ive had to work and proof myself. I can say with my forehead held high that I am proud to be a US citizen and that I work at contributing all I am to make this country of ours a land of prosperity where people can come and be all they can be. -Pat Morales -A Life Worth Living
