The only way to make effective systematic change is to put [conscious] black people in positions of power. We need [conscious] black policy makers, lawyers, judges, politicians, lawmakers, and law enforcers. The truth of the matter is this system was NEVER made for us to succeed so were left with no other choice but to change the system. Weve protested and boycotted for years to little to no avail so its time for a new strategy. We have to stop thinking that things will magically change and get better for us one day. Until the people who were pleading with to do the right thing look, think, act, and sound like us, well keep reliving this exact devastation that we feel now. Even if this case would have went to trial I think we all know what the verdict wouldve been. To all my brothers and sisters in law school/law enforcement/politics, I love and support you. Its hard stepping into such a corrupt system but our babies need you. We need you.
