The opposition against the opposition! We have a huge problem in Eritrea. The people in Eritrea are suffering under a suffocating cruel regime. The people are suffering not because the regime is very strong but because the oppositions are very weak. I fail to understand the negative campaigns against Medrek as a group and its individual member. I would have thought that the more people join the opposition, the weaker the regime becomes. I would have thought that the opposition would do their best to pressure as many Eritreans as possible to join them in the struggle for change and would be very happy even big shots like Andebran join their ranks. I, for one, would be even happy if Yemane Monkey and Yemen Charlie would abandon the regime and join the opposition. The more the regime is isolated the weaker it becomes and the sooner we have the change. But may be I am wrong. The opposition are only happy if they are joined by people who only look up to them, agree with whatever they say and do, have no initiatives of their own and who does not threaten their importance. Why would then Assenna agree to work with Medrek first and campaign against them later? Shouldn’t Assenna study Mederek’s missions, principles and plans before engaging with them? And why the negative campaigns? Can anyone help understand the relationship between Radio Wegahta and Assenna? They seem to sing the same song. The opposition against the opposition!
