The other day I met this young man...He sat down beside me and we started talking. He had been to camp in North Carolina and they had taken a week hiking and camping in and around North Conway. He LOVED the area. He is from Atlanta Georgia. While sitting there, he called his dad. I could hear the conversation although I was reading. He ended his call with I cant wait to see you dad and I love you dad, more than you love me! and laughter. I told him how happy I was to hear him say that to his dad. he says the kids sometimes ask him why he does and he says he tells them, because he wants to. I told him my son (Shawn) used to get out of the car in front of High school when I dropped him off and he would lean over and hug and kiss me good bye and tell me he loved me , more than you love me...we laughed. He is a wrestler in the winter, plays both football for his school and soccer for travel team. I convinced him to come to Maine and see the mountains and coast. He promised he would.. I asked him his name and he said Miller Shawn (and I will not discuss his last name)...He was surprised to know that he had the same name as my son! Then I told him Shawn was born on Christmas Day..he said no way! I was too! He asked what Shawn liked to do for hobbies and I told him. He said he loves to ski.. I invited he and his father to Attitash for the race for the foundation...He re-called his dad and told him about our conversation. He dad wanted to talk to me. He thanked me for staying there until the ride came for his son. I told him, I think we were destined to meet. I now have another new young friend...He made my day last week. What are the chances we would meet and have so much similar..just thought I would share.
