Thursday will be observed as a complete holiday in observance of Christmas around the KQWC listening area. Many area businesses will be closed for the day. Stores on Wednesday will either close early or at their regular time. Many area financial institutions will be closing at 12 noon on Christmas Eve . The Hamilton County Courthouse, all county offices and the Webster City Municipal Building will be closing at 12 noon Wednesday for the Christmas holiday to reopen again on Friday. Friends Forever Social Education Center will be closed December 24 through the 26 for the Christmas period. Kendall Young Library will be closed both Wednesday and Thursday. The Fuller Hall Recreation Center will close at 12 noon Wednesday for Christmas to reopen Friday morning,December 26 at 6:00 a.m. There will be no city or rural delivery of mail Thursday. The Webster City post office box lobby will be open as usual but the customer service window will be closed for the Christmas holiday. Mail service will resume on Friday,December 26. The Hamilton County Iowa State University Extension Office will be closed Christmas Day and December 26 for the Christmas weekend. Webster City school students will be dismissed at the regular time on Tuesday afternoon, December 23. Classes will resume again on Monday,January 5,2015. All Webster City school offices will be closed from Wednesday,December 24 through Friday,January 2,2015.
