The other day I was showing my daughters some of the photos from my mums birthday party last week when my eldest said daddy, was it a party for only grown ups? Yes sweetheart it was I replied. Well how old is that grown up there? She said accusingly whilst pointing at a young boy sliding round the dance floor on his knees ala Peter Kay. I panicked, stumbled over my words...erm, well some people brought their children for a bit but I didnt because, it was, erm, really late and erm... She looked at me, not angry, just sad; her big Disney princess eyes glistened over with moisture and bottom lip wobbling why werent we invited to Nanas party Daddy? A single solitary tear rolled down her perfect porcelain face. Fast forward two days and we are having a party for all the kids in the family with a bouncy castle, chocolate fountain, my mate doing some face painting and my brother doing his magic show! Bit of pass the parcel, plenty of balloons, loads of butties and some jelly and ice cream!
