The other day I was working when this man entered the store and sparked up a conversation with my coworker. The conversation consist of him not knowing who he wanted to vote for. So when he enters the polling station, hell go in and ask whos offering him the most amount of money. Even if it was 5$, Ill be happy. As a person whos educated on the issues but not being old enough to vote yet, this was incredibly frustrating. To know that one vote makes all the difference but is willing to be paid off for a simple five dollar bill, was somewhat like a back stab. Is my future not being sold for pocket money? Will whatever party wins effect my future in what their platform is for the next four years? YES! If youre eligible to vote, then please make your vote count! And when you do cast your ballot, think of all the young boys and girls that dont have a say in their future. If youre voting PC, know that there is Scientific facts that prove that hydraulic fracturing CAN NOT be done 100% safely. That hundreds of studies show that there is more of a chance in something going wrong; that our water will be contaminated, our air will be polluted, our roads will be even more ruined than they already are and not to forget that the health risks are through the roof! If youre thinking of going Liberal... lets go back to who signed the contract with SWN? The corporation that is pushing their own way through New Brunswick, so in other words... murder us for money. Yes, that was our beloved Shawn Graham leader of the Liberal party in 2010. And yes, the Greens. Who most people, think, omg, theyll stop Shale Gas! Theyre Green! Wrong! They dont know what the hell their platform even is! Pardon my language. Last but not least... The NDP, the New Democratic Party... is the ONLY party that will put a ban on exploration for Shale Gas in the first days theyll be elected. And help our beautiful little province of New Brunswick stand on its two feet again. Because just like our licence plates say, Be... in this place · Etre...ici on le peut Who will want to be here or better yet, live here when its completely destroyed of our natural resources. No one. I for one can say that we moved out here for a better life, and I can sure as hell say I want it to stay that way. And I for one can say that my land, my water, my air, my roads, my life... is NOT worth 5$.
