The other day, while at work, I was on my way to break. An old hymn that Mom used to lead at Church started playing in my head. It was only the chorus, but the words touched my heart. They are, Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me; Buried, He carried my sins far away; Rising, He justified freely forever: One day Hes coming. O glorious Day! What really touched my heart though was that it was Moms voice I heard. Clear as a bell. Today is a difficult day. Our Mom, Karen Jean Thornburgh Johnson, went home on April 24th, three months ago today. Im trying hard to apply this scripture to my life today, You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy. Psalm 30:11. Its not always easy to live what we know. Especially when there is grief involved. God is faithful, and I know that because she loved Him, she is with Him. If you dont have a relationship with Jesus, follow her example. You will be eternally grateful!
