The overnight proved to be a busy on for the volunteers at Station 1. As darkness set across Groove City, Station 1 was dispatched to the 1-2 Box Area on Talbot Ave. for the electrical hazard. Chief 1-2 placed situation under control a short time later. At 00:44 hours a more serious situations occurred in the Groove. Station 1 was dispatched to the 1-2 Box Area at 618 Pine Street to assist Paramedic 100 & 101 for the shooting. Paramedic 100, 101, & Cambridge Police were faced with the serious situation of multiple victims shot in a unstable environment which became uncontrolled quickly. A total of 4 were shot 2 fatally. Rescue 1-1 supplied man power for the Paramedics due to 1 was transported by ground The closest Trauma Center and 1 was transported to the closest facility both priority 1. At 05:32 Station 1 was alerted for Fire Box 1-1 for the Commercial Building Fire at 829 Fieldcrest Rd. Due on the call Engine Companys 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, Rescue 1-1, Tower 1-1, & Paramedic 100. Chief 1-1 held the box to Engine Companys 1-1, 1-2, & Tower 1-1.
