The parish council is very aware of problems with congestion in the High Street/Church Plain area of Loddon and is investigating possible solutions. The council has agreed to request parking restrictions (double yellow lines) between the drive next to the Hollies and Vine Court. This would give a space large enough to act as a passing place, even for buses or larger vehicles, hopefully allowing them to pass in the street without mounting the pavement or having to reverse. In an effort to ascertain how successful such restrictions would be, the parish council is running a trial parking restriction in the area for the next two weeks. No Parking cones will be in place on weekdays, but will not be used during evenings or weekends. If you have any views or observations as to how the trial works, the parish council would be pleased to hear from you.
