The past couple of weeks have proven I have a high pain tolerance for insanity. Here are a few of my favorites... No. 3: Malachi opened an umbrella on the porch and subsequently punched out the glass on the front door. Ive seen people use trash bags in place of a car window, but never for the front door, I said to my destructive 6-year-old son. This falls under the category: You might be a Redneck if... No. 2: I took Malachi to a doctors office in South Carolina to establish him as a patient in case he needed medical care while visiting his grandparents. The receptionist immediately asked me regarding my son: You gotcha custody papers? Apparently, in her world, a white man cant be the father of a black child without documentation from DSS, law enforcement, or the court system. No. 1: While standing in the receiving line during one of the visitations following Kellys death, an elderly lady approached and grasped my hand. I just want you to know how sorry I am, she said softly. When the time is right, I want you to meet my daughter.
