The past few weeks I have been hearing a lot of people tell me that they are running and doing a lot of cardio to stay in shape. Contrary to belief doing cardio by itself does not get you in shape. WOW!!!! I bet you guys heads are spinning. Dont get me wrong cardio is very important. It strengthens your HEART and LUNGS, but it produces a very minimal amount of muscle. "Well, I dont want any muscle" I hear this alot from FEMALES. They dont want to be too muscular are too masculine. Let me tell you females something CURVES are in, SKINNY is out! To burn fat you have to have muscle. The best way to produce this valuable component is to do resistance exercises, yes LIFT WEIGHTS!!!! Im not saying that you have to go into the gym and go squat a ton or bench a ton. Just have fun and sweat. Everyone that you see in the magazines and on television that have a nice physique is weight training. "Well I dont want to injure myself", well if you are trained properly injuries will drastically be reduced. Matter of fact I hear more people talk about injuries during running such as knee problems, foot problems, hip problems etc. Bottom line its ok to run but like everything do it in moderation and above all LIFTS SOME DAMN WEIGHTS!!! GUMR!!
