:( The people over me want me to throw the truck in neutral and slow down without downshifting! I HATE THAT! Its not safe nor discipline. When truck drivers have to slow down or prepare to exit they are supposed to downshift. If Im going 65 miles an hour and I want to exit to go to New York Im supposed to slow down to 35 miles an hour or the ramp speed, shift from 8th gear (in a 8 gear truck) to 7th or 6th gear by breaking, clutching out, pressing the gas pedal to get it back up to around 1600 RPMs. I like downshifting because I have control of the momentum that the truck has.
