The people shall have to choose better people Dalip Singh Wasan, Advocate. Elections, this time shall be a difficult task before the people of India. The same old and tried people are before the people. If there are some new people, the people of India do not know what is in their mind and what new principles and policies they shall adopt to solve the problems of the people. The problems with the people of India are down rooted because of slavery and even this independence and this democracy could not solve their problems because the people who had been coming forward were just rulers and they were not committed to serve the people. They had been establishing family rule, party dictatorship and individual autocracy and even in this period of alliances, they are working as they had been working in party dictatorship and individual autocracy. As it seems, the next government shall be initiating another circle and since it has become one-man show, we shall be facing another individual autocracy and the politicians too shall have to face slavery. The parties have forwarded candidates keeping in mind the only one thing that they should win and it is very clear that selection of candidates is not based on merits and merits alone. The political parties who are before us are not giving us their policies, principles and targets through which they shall be providing us proper education, proper training, proper employment and proper income and till these minimums are half-way, the people of India would remain beggars living on charities, subsidies and free kitchens. The state should not believe in charity, but the state must take us to the river side and must teach us the art of catching a fish ourselves. We want to stand at our own feet and the nation must prepare us and it seems, this lot of politicians, who are themselves not properly educated, trained and are not having expertise shall remain functioning under the bureaucracy and shall never give us competent government.
