If you dont know that they often go in looking for a fugitive and then start looking around at what you have on your counters and in your drawers you are an idiot. If more people demanded proper protocol than they would stop violating our rights so often. For instance, in California a cop can say you were speeding and he smelt something burning in your car and that can be used as evidence to search you without actually smelling something burning or catching you on radar, a judge will declare this just; instances like this are allowed because we have collectively bent over and prepped our butts for them.
