The people we surround ourselves with the most influence us in so many ways. I mean theyre close to us for a reason. Weve sort of bought into a bit of their definition of what life should be like and vice versa... And we actually start believing it like it was wisdom that was meant for us to follow. Sometimes its conducive and other times its not, well most of the time its not. Thats why you get a group of diff minded people in one room for a long enough time and they all start losing their individuality in some ways and start becoming more and more like each other.... which isnt really a bad thing if the people we surround ourselves with share similar life goals and aspirations. And we can all tell too through our results. If we are becoming better people, accomplishing more and growing, and it shows through our actions and people see it then youve picked good people to be around, no matter how difficult things can get cuz true relationships aint easy. Its actually pretty annoying most of the time lolll... On the other hand, when youre losing site of your goals and dreams and what you used to be passionate about... Then maybe youve been convinced of a lifestyle and direction that isnt what you really want.... and youll be blinded by it for quite a while and realize when time has passed and its gotten so much HARDER to accomplish them (because its never to late for anything). So I guess Im writing this because its my reflection for 2015 and what kept me up with insomnia last night. Find the right people, people that are in tune with you and your actual passions, instead of convincing you that temporary pleasure is happiness itself. They dont have to ALWAYS be about growth cuz its good to have fun every now and then but you can tell. Being around them isnt just about feeling like youre on the right path (Its SO EASY to just feel like you are yet your results are either minimal or non existent), cuz anyone convincing enough with their views can do that, but seeing youre life flourish with ACTUAL accomplishments and rewards. Keep them close, and the rest... Unfortunately life wasnt meant to always keep you together.
