The person behind the title.... Jamie Seery (National Head Coach) What is your role within Scotland WRL? My role with Scotland WRL is the National Head Coach, my job is to oversee the development and performances of the Scotland national team. Part of this is to develop and implement a performance plan which ensures we progress each year both on and off the court. How did you get involved in WRL? I was at the very first meeting for Wheelchair RL in Scotland however apart from a few sessions I attended I hadnt really been involved. Then in April 2013 I was asked if I would like to become the Scotland Head Coach for the World Cup in Medway and the rest is history really. It has been a great learning curve ever since then. What other interested do you have ? To be honest Im a bit boring with my only real interest being rugby league and coaching. I enjoy watching different coaches and sports to gain ideas on other ways things can be done or shouldnt be done! What do you want to achieve within your role in 2015? In 2015 the main aim is to perform well in the European Championships by improving on our performances from the Four Nations. However outside this we are hoping to have a number of internationals which we can have a look at a number of players before the Euros. Also on the club front we are keen to get clubs playing as many games as possible and will be working with them to develop a club fixture calendar for 2015
