The pictures of devastation to children, their land and their future is something we do not want to ever have to worry about here.. Today I fully agree with Mr Abbott in stopping the boats.. and to all asylum seekers I say leave your war behind. Leave your hatred and your anger as well This is Australia and we do things a lot differently here.. Our immigration and refugee laws need reform, we can not any longer simply believe that people seeking asylum will come here seeking peace and good lives- we must make it totally clear that while respecting the religious beliefs of many we will be overtaken by none- as the freedom from religious persecution is the intended meaning in the application of the term.. It does not imply freedom to abuse, insult or harm someone that chooses to think or believe differently.(just one of those thoughts I thought I would share!)
