The point about the beard needs to be understood in its proper context. First, Obama will not be impeached over this but the embarrassment caused to him, the Democrats, Idaho, and the country by this family of jerks could help pave the way for impeachment on the other matters. As Ive said before, we cannot impeach any president unless a slight few from the ruling party and all of the media are on board with it - this bearded traitor might just have helped the cause along some. Obama was within his purview to end the war with a prisoner swap - he goofed when he brought the parents up on the stage. He wanted to milk the politics and it blew up in his face. Ill take the word of NPR on this but they say Dear Old Dad grew the beard to try to ingratiate himself to the Taliban and free his son. All of the talk show commentators I heard honored that. Fair enough! But, are we to believe Obama would be so stupid as to hold a press conference before Bergdahl was safely extracted from Pakistan and securely ensconced in Germany? Would he risk congressional interference before the 5 GITMO detainees were safely in Qatar? Not likely. So why would Obama think that getting Dear Old Dad up on stage to make his already freed son look like a traitor would help him to score political points? Could it be that hes been hearing the same tripe from Michelle all these years and it sounded quite normal to him? Is he that out of touch?
