The presidency is a symbol of national unity! Once sworn into office,the presidential elections winner becomes the president of all citizens.He becomes the president of those who voted for him and those who did not vote for him.It is uncouth,unethical and retrogressive to heckle the head of state! It is even too backward to thrown chairs and shoes at the head of state! It is sad that the hired goons in Migori did so to president Uhuru Kenyatta while he was launching the anti malaria campagn.Nyanza is known for high prevalence of malaria,HIV/AIDS and poverty.I pity those jobless youths who have accepted to be used by politicians to settle political scores. Kenyans dont learn from history! In 2002,hired goons threw mud to Mzee Daniel Arap Moi.How far did the NARC euphoria go??? After throwing mud to Mzee Moi,the nation faced the wrath of God with tragedy after tragedy! Within a period of 5 years,the NARC government lost Vice President Kijana Wamalwa,Hon Parpai,Hon Khalif,Hon Karisa Maitha,Hon Bonaya Godana and Hon Mirugi Kariuki.There was also the bitter fall out of the NARC partners LDP and NAK leading to the hotly contested 2007 elections and the post election violence of 2007/2008. Have Kenyans bothered to ask themselves why NARC did not last??? As a nation,how far did we go with the anti Moi euphoria???
