The primary obstacle to authentic spiritual growth is a complacent - TopicsExpress

The primary obstacle to authentic spiritual growth is a complacent agreement to remain confined to the mistaken, illusional sense of self. Our true nature is pure consciousness. When an illusional sense of self (the thought and feeling of this is me) is fragmented, it is not possible to be Self-realized. Mental states, feelings, and unwise behaviors that interfere with spiritual realization will continue only when the mistaken sense of self is allowed to continue (held on to). You are not a mere human creature hoping to become Self-realized, you are a spiritual being destined to awaken to the truth of what you really are. You are a immortal spiritual being. When Kriya Yoga is practiced correctly,as taught by your Guru, and you renounce your mistaken sense of self you will awaken rapidly to Self-realization. Self-realization is not difficult, and does not require a long time of spiritual practice, if the Kriya Yoga methods are followed sincerely and the false sense of self is renounced. When I lived in the Himalayas I witnessed some who awakened to Self-realization within hours, days, weeks or in only a few months after having Kriya diksha. These men and women disciples were very sincere and had the capacity to understand the true meaning of their Gurus instruction, and then practiced with child-like faith (conviction) what they were taught. ---Paramhamsa Yogivah Giri ~~
