The problem with China is its perceived correctness The communist party,by virtue of having intense ideological education and the fear of losing power, has developed a doctrine that it is always correct in all matters, lest it lead them to lose their following. Of course, all nations perceive that their government is correct to a certain extent. What makes the Chinese communists different is the fact that they believe that consensus with others will lead them to mutual destruction, just like how gorbachevs glasnost and perestroika, lead to the dissolution of the USSR in 1991. Another thing is the cuban missile crisis of 1962, where the soviets lost face since it bacjed down from direct confrontation with the US.Thus all resolutions adopted by the party is to be accepted as for the ultimate good of china, for it not to suffer the same fate. Illustration: The tiananmen massacre needs to be done for the safety of the state Due to the fact that China always perceives itself to be correct, therefore all problems with its external affairs will be justified as other countrys problems, not china. As the USSR broke up in 1991,consensus like binding agreements need to be looked from a wary eye. That is my opinion why China is very resistant and breaks international laws.
